The Rules of Civility

December's selection:

What a great book club we had!  I guess it didn't hurt that I handed everyone an Aviation the moment they walked in the door.  We had a rollicking discussion over Rules of Civility, which was largely panned by the group, but not hated by those that listened to the audio version.

We also had a White Elephant Book Exchange, which was such a hoot.  Stand-out books were Jacqueline Suzanne's biography, Where Babies Come From, and 50 Shades of Grey.

Little Brother, Cory Doctorow

Cory Doctorow is a proponent of Creative Commons, anti-DRM - there are lots copies of his book available for (free!) download here.  Wondering why he does that?  Read this.

Valley of the Dolls

We read the book

and then watched the movie in my backyard!  Super-fun book club!
